Polymer Clay Seahorses

After painting for awhile, I got the itch to go back to working with polymer clay. I don't know about you, but when I'm working on a particular craft or painting, I start to get ideas for something else I want to create. My brain is always running ahead of my hands.

Once again, inspired by Christi Friesen, pc artist of California, I tried sculpting seahorses and made a few pins and pendants. These too are encrusted with Swarovsky Crystals and Pearls, all wired into the clay so they don't come out.

I'd love to hear your comments on any of my creations.

Long Time - No Write

Well, it's been a long time since I had a chance to sit down and post anything on my blog.

Early 2008 I submitted two of my recycled denim "Journal Purses" to "Haute Handbag" magazine published by Stampington. I had just found out that there actually was a magazine devoted to just handbags. I waited for months, hearing nothing from Stampington, until July when I received a phone call stating that my purses were going to be featured in the Fall, 2008 issue. You can imagine how excited I was! I then had to sit down and write the article (no small feat).

In late October I finally got the magazine and saw the beautiful layout they did for my 2 purses. I was really impressed, especially with the photography.
